COP3 - Practical - YorkshireToATea Packaging

YorkshireToATea Packaging

The aim of this idea is to make a social media filter work physically as well as digitally. The filter has been designed and is fit for social media but are there any print considerations when making this filter work physically?

The idea is To build the filter into the front of the Yorkshire tea packaging, then the user can cut this out/remove it and use it physically. The middle will be cellophane or acetate (a see though material) which then allows the consumer to see though the filter, apply it to situation that 'sum up yorkshire' then take photos, this is then shared over social to raise brand awareness.

FILTER IDEAS

 Printing issue,
-need the middle clear but the letter over lap this

second one looks the most professional, would work the best

ISSUE, SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TO SOCIAL MEDIA?
same message but edited to work on the different platforms, therefor fits with essay.

can this be printed?? will this cut out work??

packaging size 13.9 wide, 8.9 side wise, 11.8 up

ISSUE, if the filter is made into the packaging it will have to only be used once the product is gone, which could takes ages or get damaged or break the box, therefor this is bad idea.Instead the fliter can be included in the box.

alter to fit in box

PRINT TEST -
Social mirrored filter
As the filter includes a cut out section this cannot be double sided at this shape, part of the text would be cut off. To be double sized the shape needs to be symmetrical.

-easily breakable as very delicate, could reduce use over time if it break (reinforce with backing/acetate?)
-big space for image
-directly represents the social imagery

acetate experiments

Double sided filter

-not much room for image
-would last longer, stronger
-shows more of branding
acetate added, cannot see this

FEEDBACK, which one?
'being double sided means it looks more professional, like finished'
'i think the square needs to be bigger '
'both seem very breakable and small, make them bigger?'
